Job Summary: We are a metal fabrication company and looking for a 1st Shift Operations Supervisor to oversee all manufacturing operations in our production line. Operations Supervisor responsibilities include delegating tasks, addressing quality issues and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. If you have excellent organizational and team management skills and experience in the manufacturing industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help us create an efficient and safe production facility for our employees and superior products for our customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Ensure employees follow all appropriate safety procedures and have all necessary PPE to perform their role in a safe manner
  • Create and maintain production schedules
  • Ensure output meets quality standards
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Improve and maintain a steady flow of material through operations proactively communicating any schedule shortfalls
  • Drive continuous process improvement to increase safety, quality and operations performance through implementation of Lean Principles
  • Manage operations supervisors to ensure KPI metric boards are maintained.
  • Responsible for coaching and development of the operations leadership team
  • Full accountability and ownership of your team’s development, trusting employee relations, projects follow up, execution of targets.
  • Develop and communicate needs for staffing labor plan adjustments to meet production targets
  • Ensure production floor areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Actively involved in the hiring, evaluation, and the coaching processes for department employees
  • Foster a healthy relationship with employees by treating them fairly and with respect
  • Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Manufacturing experience of at least 5 years
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Outstanding Written and Verbal Communication
  • Excellent organization and leadership skills
  • Strong decision-making skills and results-driven approach
  • Lean Principles: Problem Solving, Flow, Standard Work, Kanban, SM
Experience:
  • Manufacturing: 5 years
  • Sheet metal: 3 years (Preferred)
