JOB DESCRIPTION

APX is seeking a dependable and skilled Handyman to support the maintenance and upkeep of company properties. This role is responsible for completing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks including exterior maintenance, painting, plumbing, light electrical work, drywall repair, flooring installation/repair, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs for related properties
  • Complete interior and exterior painting projects as needed
  • Troubleshoot and perform basic plumbing repairs including faucets, toilets, drains, and fixtures
  • Perform light electrical work such as replacing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and basic troubleshooting
  • Repair and install drywall, patch holes, and complete finishing work
  • Install, repair, or replace flooring including vinyl plank, tile, laminate, and carpet repairs
  • Conduct exterior property maintenance including landscaping touch-ups, gutter cleaning, pressure washing, and minor repairs
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance to help maintain safe and functional properties
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company policies and applicable codes
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding project status, material needs, and repair recommendations

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous handyman, maintenance, construction, or property maintenance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and flooring repairs
  • Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects/tasks
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
  • Basic knowledge of building maintenance and safety practices preferred
